7 Month Update

I spend a good amount of time complaining about Iowa winter scenery (or lack thereof) and missing the mountains. But much to my excitment, the part of Iowa I love best is appearing! It is getting so green! We've had lots of rain and its warming up. I do enjoy Spring in Iowa. Brynlee is getting bigger and learning so much. She's a little sponge and is picking up on new things. Her latest achievements are waving, giving "five," and she's slowing getting to be a good clapper. She also has been pulling herself up to her feet on whatever she can. It is leading to a few more "bonks" on the head, but she doesn't seem to mind. Her crawl is more and more on her hands and knees unless she wants to get somewhere in a hurry, then she reverts back to her army crawl. She is quick!

We had her 7 month "weight check" today since she is so little. She weighed 14 lbs 11 oz which is up a pound and 5 ounces from a month ago. The doctor seemed satisfied enough. She's just a petite little thing.

I'll have to post pictures later, but the other excting things that have been going on are that Jordan has pretty much made it through his 2nd year of podiatry school. They had a "Rite of Passage" ceremony a couple of weeks ago to commemorate this achievement. His classes will now be more clinical based. I think he's pretty excited about that. He has worked so hard. I'm really proud of him. It was also his 28th birthday the other day. Time sure does fly. He's getting old. We didn't get to celebrate much since I was in the middle of working 3 in a row, but hopefully tomorrow we'll do something fun. I also got released and recalled to YW's. I love working with the girls in our ward so I am excitied about the call.

Easter

Here are a few pics of our Bryn in her Easter dress. She is continuing to crawl better everyday and is getting harder to keep up with. We wonder where she gets all of her energy. She is so fun!

Trip to Colorado/6 months old!

It was really fun to get to spend some time in Colorado during Jordan's spring break. We were able to go up to Rocky Mountain National Park and spend some time in the mountains. I think that is the thing we like least about Iowa. It is nice and green in the summer, but the winter is drab and we miss the mountains (especially after spending a few summers in Jackson). Everyone was able to come for the weekend and we appreciate you all coming while we were there. Poor Mark had it the worst. (It was worth it though, right Mark??) My dad took some cute pictures while we were there. Here are a few...

These pictures were taken up in RMNP. Behind us is frozen Bear Lake...one of our favorite spots.

Brynlee and her cousin Aliyah got to know each other a little better. Brynlee managed to be nice and not too threatening most of the time.

The first thing people usually comment on when they see Brynlee are those big blue eyes. They are pretty, aren't they?

Brynlee lovin' the Gramie smooches. She gave a few back as well :).

She loved playing with her Aunt Natalie. She and Luke babysat while Mom, Dad, Jordan, and I went to the temple. We really appreciated it!

So she's six months old now and crazy as ever. I took her to her doctors appointment to find out she weighs a whole 13 lbs 6 oz which puts her in the 8th percentile. Her length was 26 in which I believe was the 55th percentile. The doctor is concerned about her weight so we will be going back in a month. I worried for a little bit (its my nature) but if you watch her move you can start to understand why she weighs so little. Not to mention she takes after her dad :). She's loving getting some fruits and veggies along with the cereal. Its so fun to see her reaction to new tastes.

She gets around just fine now and makes it from room to room. It's definitely an army crawl, but it has few if any limitations. She makes it over some serious obstacles. She loves the door stoppers. She hasn't found them in all the rooms, but when she sees them she goes right to em. Hopefully, no pinched fingers will result! I was trying to get her to turn around and show you her cute face at the end without luck. Below is another one with her crawling in the kitchen. It has become one of her favorite places to play. A whole new reason to sweep...or she'll do it for me!

Wow what a long post.......I'm impressed if you made it this far!
